Where are your shoes made?
All of our shoes are designed in Austin, TX, and they are handmade in León. León is a city in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato, well-known for its production of footwear. We have partnered with a boutique factory that produces small-batch pieces and focuses strongly on eco-friendly practices.
What is the “Peta-Approved Vegan logo?
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organization in the world. Dominic & Dempsey are using the “PETA-Approved vegan” logo to highlight that all of our footwear are made of vegan alternatives to animal-derived materials. We do not use any such animal product such as leather, fur, silk, feathers, or bone. The “PETA-Approved vegan” logo helps consumers identify vegan items at a glance while shopping and make purchases that align with their values.
What does USDA Organic mean?
Our cactus leather manufacturers, Desserto® produce the leather using organic certified cactus which is grown in an organic farming system in the fertile and mineral-rich region of Zacatecas, Mexico. Read more about them here.

How do Dominic & Dempsey shoes fit?
All of our shoes are designed with the most comfortable fit possible. Our ‘shoe lasts’ have been developed with growing feet at the forefront of our design process - they have a wide toe front that doesn't hinder growth.
Our shoes are all fitted with a non-woven insole that is incredibly cushy and soft, allowing ample support for growing feet. Due to the insole thickness though, we suggest sizing up if your child is in between sizes, or coming to an end of a particular size.
How should I care for the boots?
We whole-heartedly understand that children will be children, so when required, you can gently remove dirt and debris using a soft cloth or natural baby wipe and air-dry. Avoid the boots coming into contact with sharp surfaces. You can occasionally polish them using a soft cloth and natural wax such as a coconut-based wax. Do not let the shoes come into contact with alcohol-based products or sources of high heat.

Do you ship internationally?
We ship internationally to the following countries - Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Montenegro, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. We generally ship internationally using DHL / FedEx and UPS. There may be occasions where your item is shipped via USPS. Depending on the shipping speed you choose at checkout, your item will generally arrive within 3, 5 or 10 business days.
** Please note, orders to Australia are experiencing higher than usual delays, please allow for additional time for your order to arrive (in some cases, up to 6 weeks).
Eventually, we will ship worldwide, however right now we are limiting our services to the above mentioned countries, and apologize for any inconvenience.
Dominic & Dempsey ships direct from Austin, TX. For all countries outside of the US, please note that duties and taxes are not included in your order total and will vary based on the country you are shipping to. You can talk to your local post office to find out what charges you might expect. Dominic & Dempsey is not responsible for these duties and import taxes.

Dominic & Dempsey accepts all major credit cards and PayPal.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Orders are usually shipped within 1-3 business days unless otherwise noted. Orders received after 4pm CST, or those received over the weekend or on a national holiday will be shipped within the following 2-3 business days.
How much is shipping?
For all orders over $100 USD, domestic shipping is free. Your order will generally arrive between 5-8 business days.
Expedited domestic shipping is a flat rate of $9.90 and normally arrives within 2-3 business days.
For international orders, the shipping cost varies from country to country and depending on the shipping speed you choose at checkout, your item will generally arrive within 3, 5 or 10 business days.
Returns & exchanges
Can I cancel or change my order?
Please ensure to review your order carefully before placing it, but if for some reason you need to cancel it, get in touch with us right away by sending us an email at email@example.com. We endeavor to ship out all orders very promptly, which can sometimes make it difficult to cancel an order if you contact us after it has been dispatched. If you contact us before it ships, we will happily cancel your order. Unfortunately, we do not change orders, but you can submit a new order via our website.
Do you accept returns and exchanges?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery. If you wish to return or exchange an item for any reason, please reply to your order confirmation email, and we will be glad to assist you.
How will I be refunded?
Once we've received and approved your refund, it will be credited within 14 days through the payment method used during checkout.
